Today started much better than last week’s third day. No eye infection, no looking like the elephant man..
Pretty much plane sailing. I had to wait until 12 o’clock to have my bloods taken which was sooner than required really, but my bloods from yesterday were fine. Hardest part today was sorting out all the appointments for the next 4 weeks- of which there a shed loads…
I have so many appointments; I think I will have to make a spreadsheet to handle it all. Job for the week-end.
I managed to have a final lunch (stewed beef and mash potato – living the dream) before Liz/Libby called to say she was here. I was yet to have confirmation that my bloods were ok and if I could take my next tablet. So a quick buzz to nurse who signalled the all clear on both; quickly followed by the removal of the cannula and I was done.
So that is me done with hospital stays for now. I must say the staff on Ward 9 were great. Not being funny but I hope not to see them for a long, long, long, long time… but I will miss their kindness and I will miss Brian, my very own ‘Cast Away ‘ Wilson..
