So it is the end of week 2 and all is going well. I feel a bit more tired than normal, to be honest but have managed to go for a walk to get some fresh air in between the rain.
My previous two sets of chemotherapy were full-on with 6 rounds of treatment starting every 4th week. With every round, the dose increased and the side effects got worse. Chemotherapy this time around is completely different. Over the first 5 weeks, my dosage of Venetoclax will increase from 20 grams up to a final daily amount of 400 grams. After this (week 6), I will then start a monthly course of Rituximab, which will last for 6 months. This all adds up to between 30-36 different appointments for blood tests, treatment or assessment between now and Christmas. Wow…
A bit heavy, but I hope it explains the plan of action/treatment over the coming weeks and months.
With no hospital stay next week, I can now enjoy the week-end.

Hi Mark
I have only just seen your blog. It’s great that you can retain such a sense of humour during this very difficult time. May God surround you with his love and bless you in many ways, including healing.
